Packaging Guide · Updated August 2026 · By Damai Party Sourcing Team

Packaging for Amazon, Shopify and retail programs must protect the product, communicate the offer and match the buyer’s current fulfillment requirements. Marketplace rules and fees change; the buyer should verify the latest requirements in the relevant seller account before approving production.

Packaging Decisions to Confirm

  • Sellable-unit pack count and dimensions
  • Polybag, header card, retail box or bundle format
  • Barcode type, placement and scan test
  • Country-of-origin and required warning text
  • Inner carton and master-carton quantity
  • Transit protection and drop/compression needs
  • Current marketplace or retailer prep instructions

Marketplace Preparation Is Project-Specific

FNSKU labels, suffocation warnings, bundle labels, carton limits and appointment requirements depend on the product and the buyer’s current program. Damai Party can review supplied instructions and quote the required preparation, but does not claim that every default pack is automatically “FBA-ready.”

Private-Label Options

  • Custom printed retail box or label
  • Barcode and buyer-provided product information
  • Insert card and assembly instructions
  • Coordinated kit pack-out
  • Buyer-specified carton marks

Packaging Approval Checklist

  1. Approve the sellable-unit specification and artwork.
  2. Confirm barcode data and test a production-equivalent sample.
  3. Match warnings and labeling to the destination and product.
  4. Confirm carton pack-out and current receiving rules.
  5. Approve a physical packaging sample before bulk production.

Lock the Shipping Assumptions Before Comparing Quotes

A low unit price is not comparable until the delivery point, responsibility split and carton data are defined. Damai Party confirms the available route per project; no Incoterm, mixed-SKU load, marketplace delivery or freight price is assumed by default.

Quote boundary: freight, duties, taxes, appointments and marketplace requirements change by route and date. They are confirmed in the written quotation and current buyer instructions—not inferred from a generic website promise.

Connect Packaging to Product and Factory Evidence

Packaging approval does not replace product compliance. Match the selected material and intended use to the relevant evidence, then confirm the packaging sample and current fulfillment rules.
